We will discuss “The Listeners” by Maggie Stiefvater. In this historical fiction novel, the Avalon is a luxury hotel in the mountains West Virginia. Everything changes for general manager June Hudson in 1942 when the hotel owner makes a deal with the State Department to host captured Nazi diplomats.
